Tottenham are set to enjoy a trophy parade after ending their long-running trophy drought with a gutsy 1-0 win against Manchester United in the Europa League final.
Brennan Johnson’s scruffy first-half effort was the difference on the night in Bilbao in what proved a game of few chances and little quality.
United dominated possession and territory for large swathes of the second half, but a lacklustre attacking display saw them unable to summon a comeback.
Both teams have endured miserable Premier League campaigns – sitting 16th and 17th respectively with one game remaining – but Ange Postecoglou’s side can now look forward to a return to the Champions League.
Spurs face a quick turnaround before their final game of the season at home to Brighton on Sunday, but fans will be more eager to celebrate the club’s first trophy since 2008.
Postecoglou’s side celebrated long into the night in northern Spain, and they will have an opportunity to continue the party in front of plenty more fans after the club confirmed plans for an open-top bus parade in London.
When is Tottenham’s trophy parade and what time does it start?

With thousands keen to celebrate Tottenham’s first European triumph in 41 years, the club have moved quickly to confirm plans for an open-top bus parade.
Despite only hoisting the trophy aloft on Wednesday night, the club will celebrate again less than 48 hours later, with the parade taking place on Friday, 23 May.
The spectacle is expected to begin at 5.30pm on Friday evening and will last between 60-90 minutes.
