England are applying the final touches to their World Cup preparations ahead of their round of 16 game with Senegal in Qatar.

Senegal finished as runners-up in Group A behind the Netherlands, losing to the Dutch in their opening match before beating Qatar and Ecuador to seal their spot in the knockout rounds.

The game will be the first time that England and Senegal have ever faced each other in an international fixture.

Gareth Southgate will be weary of the threat posed by the African champions, even with the absence of former Liverpool forward Sadio Mane who was ruled out on the eve of the tournament with a fibula injury.

Find out when the crunch clash kicks-off and how to watch on TV and live stream.

What time does England vs Senegal start?

England vs Senegal will take place on Sunday, December 4 at 7pm.

How to watch England vs Senegal on TV and live stream

Fans will be able to watch the game live on ITV1, with coverage starting from 6pm.

A live stream of the match will be available via ITVX, the channel’s streaming platform.

BBC Radio 5 Live and talkSPORT will have live radio coverage of the round of 16 game in the UK.

What is the England team news?

England will be without Ben White for the rest of the tournament after the Arsenal defender returned home due to personal reasons.

Kyle Walker and Kalvin Phillips both came through the Wales game unscathed in their first appearances following lengthy injury layoffs with Manchester City.

Southgate faces a dilemma in the centre of the park, with Jordan Henderson impressing during the win over Wales in place of the rested Mason Mount.

The manager must also decide whether to start Marcus Rashford and Phil Foden following their goalscoring displays against the Welsh.
