Tottenham have roared into life late in the transfer window, according to reports coming out of Portugal.
The Lilywhites know that they need to back Antonio Conte in some form before the deadline, and are working on a host of deals at present.
One deal that has come out of left field, however, is a bid for Luis Diaz.
The Colombian has starred for FC Porto this season, with a goal last weekend taking his tally to 15 for the season in the Portuguese top flight, and the 25-year-old is thought to be catching the eye of Europe’s top clubs.
However, it seems as though Spurs have made a move first, with one report suggesting that they have offered the Portuguese league leaders 45 million euros plus added bonuses.
Worse still, they have given Porto a 48-hour window to reply.

Is this a realistic move?
Transfer speculation is always swirling, but can get especially crazy in the final days of the window.
Liverpool’s reliable journalist James Pearce revealed earlier in the window that Liverpool were interested but could not stump up the fee.
‘[The] Porto attacker is highly-rated but not on the agenda currently. Asking price (£60m plus) is too high for someone who would be back-up’, he wrote in the Athletic.

If clubs know the price tag, a bid of just 45 million euros (37.5 million pounds) seems unlikely to do much in terms of getting Spurs any closer to landing Diaz, if they have indeed made an offer for the forward.
