Footage of Liverpool shot-stopper Alisson Becker consoling teammate Thiago Alcantara on the sideline has gone viral on Sunday evening.
The clip in question comes on the back of the latest in a lengthy string of injury setbacks on the part of Liverpool’s maestro in the middle of the park.
Jurgen Klopp’s troops have of course returned to action this evening, eyeing up a first piece of silverware of the campaign in a Carabao Cup finale showdown with European champions Chelsea.
Thiago, meanwhile, was initially, as expected, included in the Reds’ starting XI.
Just minutes before kick-off in the English capital, however, word was forthcoming that the Spaniard had in fact been pulled from his starting role, owing to an injury picked up whilst warming up:

Pulisic goes close
Turning attentions towards the action at Wembley itself, early in the first-half, the scoreline remains locked at 0-0.
Both sides, though, have already carved out clear-cut opportunities, with Christian Pulisic having seen what looked a certain opener from close range superbly kept out by Caoimhin Kelleher, before Sadio Mane failed to capitalise on a trademark Trent Alexander-Arnold delivery at the other end.
