Footage of new Liverpool addition Luis Diaz being greeted by manager Jurgen Klopp at the club’s training ground has come to the fore online on Friday.
The news which those of a Liverpool persuasion had been patiently awaiting was of course finally forthcoming last weekend.
This came in the form of confirmation that the club’s first signing of the January transfer window – the aforementioned Diaz – had been secured.
The Merseyside giants are understood to have forked over an initial sum of 40 million euros to land the Porto star, with a further 20 million potentially to come in add-ons.

And, as alluded to above, on Friday, footage of Diaz which is no doubt set to bring a smile to the collective faces of the Reds faithful has emerged online.
The video in question showcases the Colombian international arriving at Liverpool’s Melwood training base, ahead of linking up with his new teammates.
Before that, though, came a first face-to-face with his new bosses, with both Jurgen Klopp and assistant Pep Lijnders having looked in good spirits in embracing the latest addition to their ranks:

‘Wait a little bit’
Turning attentions back towards the pitch, Liverpool are of course set to mark their return to action in a little less than 48 hours’ time.
On the back of a two-week break, Klopp and co. will kick their campaign back into gear on Sunday afternoon, in an FA Cup 4th-round showdown with Championship outfit Cardiff City.
As things stand, it remains unclear whether or not Diaz could be afforded his bow in the Anfield clash, with boss Klopp having been keen to keep his cards close to his chest when drawn on the subject this afternoon:
Klopp on Diaz: If we was immediately at his best then it would be really strange. He needs time to adapt to it but that doesn’t mean I speak about four or five months, I haven’t even seen him yet in training so maybe we should wait a little bit! I’m really happy with the signing.
