Manchester United have announced the appointment of Jason Wilcox as the club’s technical director.
Wilcox, 53, who had been working as Southampton’s director of football, takes over the reins at Old Trafford with immediate effect.
It’s the latest appointment in a major overhaul at the Theatre of Dreams, following on from Sir Jim Ratcliffe’s £1.3million takeover in February.
The Red Devils confirmed in an official statement that Wilcox would be ‘working with all technical areas of the football department to achieve the highest standards of performance’.
