Arsenal remain keen on signing Real Madrid forward Rodrygo and are confident they can offer him a sporting project that will convince him to leave the Spanish giants.
The 24-year-old’s future has been a matter of intense speculation since the end of last season when he fell out of favour with Real’s now former manager Carlo Ancelotti.
Rodyrgo’s attitude was called into question before the arrival of Xabi Alonso, but the Brazil international is said to have impressed his new boss with his aptitude in training during the early weeks of the Spaniard’s reign.
Despite his renewed effort, Rodrygo, according to the Athletic, has been given no guarantees that he will figure in Alonso’s long-term plans.
After starting in Real’s 1-1 draw against Al-Hilal at the Club World Cup, the versatile forward wasn’t used at all in Sunday’s 3-1 win over Pachua, sparking fresh conjecture about his situation.

Arsenal, for their part, have sensed an opportunity and have made Rodrygo a primary summer target.
The Gunners believe they can provide the player with an environment which will help him rejuvenate his career and have earmarked a spot for him on the left wing, but it will be a fluid role that would not see him glued to the touchline.

As per Fabrizio Romano, Arsenal ‘love’ Rodrygo but will not be in a position to bid for him until he informs Real of his desire to leave.
At present, he has given no indication that he is ready to seek a fresh challenge and, despite reports that Real value the former Santos forward at €90m, president Florentino Perez will not set an asking price until Rodrygo hands in a transfer request.
Arsenal are keen to add a versatile winger to their ranks this summer, as well as a centre forward, but are reluctant to wait too long for Rodrygo to make a decision.

Mikel Arteta has already seen a long-term target in Nico Williams opt for a move to Barcelona, while it would take a significant offer to prise Anthony Gordon from Newcastle.
Arsenal have also looked at Brentford’s Bryan Mbeumo but the Cameroon international now appears destined for a move to Manchester United who have submitted a second bid for the 25-year-old.
With options looking increasingly limited, Arsenal are reported to have considered adding Chelsea’s Noni Madueke to their list of targets but have already baulked at the Premier League club’s £50m valuation.
England international Madueke has shown flashes of potential over the course of the last two-and-a-half years at Stamford Bridge but has struggled to hold down a regular first team place.
The Blues now look set to complete the signing of Jamie Gittens from Borussia Dortmund and his arrival would add extra competition for Madueke.
