Chelsea have agreed personal terms with Alejandro Garnacho but remain in talks with Manchester United over a transfer fee, according to reports.
Garnacho has wanted to leave United this summer but is keen to stay in the Premier League and join a Champions League side, making Chelsea favourites for his signature.
The Argentina international fell out with Ruben Amorim at the end of last season and was omitted from the club’s pre-season tour of the United States this summer.
Garnacho has trained away from United’s first-team squad as he continues to hold out for a move to Chelsea.
According to Fabrizio Romano, Garnacho has already agreed personal terms ahead of a potential switch to Stamford Bridge but United and Chelsea do not have an agreement in place over a fee for the 21-year-old.

United are understood to be demanding a £50 million transfer fee for Garnacho, having initially asked for £70m from both Chelsea and Napoli in the January transfer window.
Chelsea, however, are reluctant to meet United’s asking price given the winger’s public fall-out with Amorim and the decision to leave him out of the squad ahead of the new Premier League season.
Garnacho still has three years remaining on his current contract with United.
Chelsea, meanwhile, are also in talks with RB Leipzig over a deal for their midfielder Xavi Simons.
The 22-year-old has also agreed personal terms on a move to Chelsea but RB Leipzig are demanding a €70m (£61m) transfer fee.
