Jadon Sancho and Alejandro Garnacho have emerged as transfer targets for Inter Milan, but only if they miss out on their first choice.

Sancho and Garnacho are no longer in the first team plans at Old Trafford under Ruben Amorim, left out of pre-season action and firmly on the transfer list.

Antony and Tyrell Malacia are in the same position, while Marcus Rashford was before he secured a loan move to Barcelona.

Garnacho has been heavily linked with a move to Chelsea as the Blues continue their prolific transfer business, although a deal to take him to Stamford Bridge does not appear close.

England international Sancho is wanted by Juventus and in the Saudi Pro League, but similarly to Garnacho, no move seems to be imminent.

Inter has now emerged as a possible destination for both forwards, but only if Cristian Chivu’s side miss out on their primary target, Ademola Lookman.

The Atalanta star has handed in a transfer request at his current club and has not turned up at pre-season training as he looks to force through an exit.

Inter have had a £39m bid for Lookman rejected this summer, with the player saying Atalanta have broken a promise to let him leave.

Atalanta have since insisted that the agreement for Lookman to leave this summer was only to clubs outside of Serie A.

Italian transfer expert Gianluca Di Marzio reports that Inter are willing to wait for the stalemate between Lookman and Atalanta to be resolved, but not forever.

If Inter do not get their man by the end of next week then they will move on to other targets, which include Sancho and Garnacho.

Di Marzio reports that also on Inter’s list of contingency plans are RB Leipzig’s Antonio Nusa and Chelsea’s Christopher Nkunku.

Gazzetta dello Sport that the name ‘gaining the most traction’ is Sancho, who has just one year left on his Old Trafford contract and is available for around £22m.

The issue for any club interested in the 25-year-old is that he earns a reported £300,000-a-week at Manchester United.

There is also Serie A interest in Rasmus Hojlund, with AC Milan keen on the striker who has struggled to make an impact with the Red Devils.

As Manchester United push to secure the signing of Benjamin Sesko from RB Leipzig, they are willing to let Hojlund go for £30m.

AC Milan are also interested in Liverpool’s Darwin Nunez, but Saudi side Al Hilal are working to sign the Uruguayan and will be difficult to compete with financially.
